I explore the details of everyday life with curiosity and spontaneity, then capture them in photographic form and experiment with them, in the process creating something truly special.

My attention to detail helps me to uncover the aesthetics of the small things and highlight them. This fascination for details gains form and shape with my macro photography. This art form makes the hidden visible. Conversely, the obvious becomes secondary and less important. I seek to familiarise the viewer with the beauty of details and create an awareness of variety through my images.

With some exhibits I use a graphical addition, the golden sphere. For me, the sphere is the embodiment of completeness and integrity. The gold, in turn, is symbolic of splendour, of durability and gives radiance to my items. Alchemists define gold as congealed light.

I studied Graphic Design at Akademie U5 in Munich in 1980 and after 35 years of successful work as a freelance graphic designer in media design I am now returning to my “first love”:
